My web site has been adding book reviews for over nine years now. It probably averages over 100 reviews a year (I'm afraid to count). That's a lot of reviews.
You probably have your own thoughts about the books or my reviews. Here's your chance to add a comment. If you add a comment here, I'll add it to the book review page in my website. I do reserve the right to edit a post for objectionable content before I add it to the site. I won't edit it just because we disagree.
Since there are so many reviews, make sure you add the title of the book that you are commenting about. I'd certainly hate to add a comment about J.D. Robb's Naked in Death to the Nathaniel Hawthorne's Scarlet Letter page or one about Cokie Roberts' Founding Mothers to Laura Esquival's Like Water for Chocolate!

great review on "The Winter Queen" sounds like one to read for sure.....just thought you would like the heads up that one typo exists...where it says "find how own way" i am certain you would rather it read "find his own way"...thanks....
I'm listening to an audio book of Soul Harvest...and just didn't think Rayford was going to find Amanda dead on the 747 and that Mac would be telling Rayford that Amanda did not have the seal on her forehead, leaving them with the notion that indeed she worked for Carpathia. No! Is it true????
Ah, Marilyn,
I don't do spoilers whenever I can avoid it. So you'll have to finish the book to find out. Believe me, you'll want to go straight on to Apolloyn.
Thanks for this book review... and cut out the spoilers :)

Jandy I thought you'd like to know that the illustrator for "Kangaroo Clues," my rhyming PB (reviewed on your site), lives in Turkey, speaks no English, and does not have a computer. An English speaking online friend, who lives near Mustafa, offered to act as interpreter and go-between. The result of this three-way collaboration can be seen in the delightful art-work he did for "Kangaroo Clues." Without the internet, I would never have been able to work with this well-known and talented European illustrator and portrait artist.

Great reviews :) Correct me if I am wrong, but one of the titles you mentioned toward the end of the list is not 'Hickory Dickory Death' but Hickory Dickory Dock'
If the person above is referring to one of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot novels, the correct name is Hickory, Dickory, Death. There may be other mystery novels named Hickory, Dickory, Dock, but the not the one I mean on my list of Poirot titles.
Re: the Erlandur myteries: Have you noticed that Marion Bream is never referred to as he or she?!

I agree with your review of "A Separate Peace" in that I did not like it that much. I found its language was way too ornamented and that Gene's character did not seem to make any sense. If you are wondering what the metaphor is, the tree is supposed to represent the Tree of Knowledge in the Bible and the fall of Phineas stands for Original Sin in the book of Genesis. So the whole thing about Finny getting pushed off the tree was supposed to mean the fall of humanity. Of course, there are many other ways to interperet it.
I think u totally sold short the book 'Blink' by Ted Dekker with ur suggestion that 'it just doesn't quite come to life'? I have read it and so have 3 of my friends we all thought it was one of or possibly the best Christian fiction we've come across in a while; it is anything BUT dead (doesn't quite come to life? still can't quite wrap my mind around the fact that u were refering to THAT particular book). The book's a great read and well written, i think u should give credit where it's due and not do unnecessary nit-picking.
Rachel,
You are not alone in your opinion. I've seen other people say Blink is one of their favorites. I like Thr3e better. No matter which you prefer, you're right in that Dekker is a great fiction writer. His Christianity adds to his work.
Jandy
Thx, interesting text!
